Lund University announces a permanent position of a professor in statistics with expertise and international reputation in one or more of the following subareas: random matrices, high-dimensional data analysis, non-Gaussian modeling, spatial and temporal stochastic modeling, Bayesian methods, or modern machine learning.
Expertise in other areas of statistics and stochastic modeling is welcome, given that they are accompanied by a truly outstanding research record that is documented by publications in top research journals and significant external funding.
The professor is to strengthen and further develop the department’s internal, national, and international research environment; thus, 50% of employment is allocated for research and professional development and can be extended through external funding.
