VIDEO – Årskonferens med temat Statistiskt ledarskap 20/10 2021

Vår heldagskonferens hade i år temat Statistiskt ledarskap. Vi hade lyckats samla sex stycken riktiga experter på området ledarskap, statistik och kommunikation. De har belyst ämnet från olika håll, allt för att du som statistiker och statistikvän ska kunna få ut mesta möjliga av presentationerna.

Sofia Tapani – Ledarskap inom Medicinsk Statistik – Att leda ett expertområde i en interdisciplinär miljö

I sin roll som Head of Early Respiratory & Immunology Statistics leder Sofia Tapani en global grupp av statistiker i design, planering, analys och rapportering av kliniska studier i tidig fas på AstraZeneca. Hon har en PhD inom Matematisk Statistik vid Chalmers Tekniska Högskola och har arbetat i flera olika ledarskapsroller inom Medicinsk Statistik.

Margareta Sjölund – Lead with EQ and develop your team to their highest potential

Margareta har 20+ års erfarenhet från USA som psykolog och organisations-konsult och har arbetat med ledar- och organisationsutveckling i såväl Europa som i Sydostasien sedan 1986. Hon har grundat och driver bolagen EQ Europe och Kandidata Asia, med bas i Sverige respektive Singapore.

Margareta är pionjär och världsledande expert inom området Emotionell Intelligens, och har coachat över 100 chefer och ledare i både statlig och privat verksamhet världen över.

Stephen Penneck och Susan Linacre – Growing Statistical Leadership

Stephen Penneck is President of the International Statistical Institute, and Honorary Officer for Official Statistics at the Royal Statistical Society, where he is a Fellow and a Chartered Statistician.

Stephen retired in 2012 as Director General at the UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS), following a career in official statistics. Since his retirement, Stephen has published articles and given lectures on a range of topics in official statistics including economic statistics, open data, and governance, trust and ethics; contributed to ISI workshops and regional conferences in Korea, Cameroun, Malaysia and Tunisia; and organised sessions at recent IAOS conferences and World Statistics Congresses.

Susan Linacre worked for the Australian Bureau of Statistics before retiring in 2012 as Deputy Australian Statistician. Prior to that she spent a period at the Office for National Statistics in the UK, heading the Methodology and Quality Directorate, and was a member of the Executive Board. She is a past president of the International Association of Survey Statisticians.

Maria Gunther – Så skriver jag om vetenskap och statistik

Maria Gunther är vetenskapsredaktör på Dagens Nyheter. Hon är doktor i partikelfysik, utbildad journalist och har även arbetat som systemutvecklare och med klimatforskning.

År 2016 utsågs hon tillsammans med DN:s medicinreporter Amina Manzoor till Årets Folkbildare av Föreningen Vetenskap och Folkbildning. År 2018 fick hon Natur & Kulturs populärvetenskapliga pris.

Eric Gibson – Statistical leadership

Eric received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Kansas State University and has led teams of quantitative scientists in clinical drug development for 25 years. He began his career at Novartis in 1997 before moving on to work at Pfizer, Abbott, and Wyeth in the areas of CV & Metabolism, Immunology, and Infectious Disease. Eric returned to Novartis in 2010 as the Biostatistics Franchise Head for Immunology and Dermatology. In 2015, he was appointed Head of Biostatistics and Pharmacometrics for Pharma, and in 2016 was appointed to his current role as Global Head of Analytics for GDD.

Alexander Schacht – How leadership helps you to achieve your goals even if you don’t have direct reports

Alexander Schacht PhD – Leadership trainer, Podcast host, Speaker, and Executive Vice President Launch and Commercialisation Data Sciences at Veramed – has published about 200 podcast episodes, over 70 peer reviewed manuscripts and presents regularly at international conferences. He has developed deep expertise in data science in the healthcare industry during his 20+ years of experience in healthcare research. He specializes in leadership and data science in the launch and commercialization phase of biopharmaceutical products.
