Statistikfrämjandet utlyser för år 2026 ”Wallinska resestipendiet”, ett stipendium om sammanlagt 24 000 kr.
Summan kan delas ut till en eller flera stipendiater.
Stipendiet finansieras av en gåva till föreningen och kan sökas av medlemmar som vill främja den egna professionella utvecklingen som statistiker genom deltagande i konferenser, kurser eller liknande ändamål.
Sista ansökningsdag är 24:e februari 2026!
Vinnare utses av Statistikfrämjandets styrelse och annonseras på årsmötet den 24 mars 2026.
(Beslutet kan ej överklagas)
Ansökan skall innehålla:
– en beskrivning av hur eventuellt tilldelade pengar skall användas
– preliminära kostnader
– program för den aktuella aktiviteten
– en meritförteckning för den sökande.
Efter genomgången resa, kurs eller dylikt förväntas utsedda stipendiater att skriva en reserapport för den aktuella aktiviteten samt beskriva på vilket sätt möjligheten att delta bidrog till att uppfylla stipendiets syfte.
Rapporten kommer att publiceras i Qvintensen.

The Swedish Statistical Society is happy to announce the “Wallinska travel stipend”, a stipend for the year 2026, totalling up to 24,000 SEK.
The stipend can be awarded one or several applicants.
The stipend is funded by a donation to the Society and can be applied for by members who wish to promote their own professional development as statisticians through participation in conferences, courses, or similar activities.
The application deadline is the 24th of February, 2026.
The recipient will be decided by the board of the Swedish Statistical Society and announced at the Annual Meeting on March 24th 2026.
(The decision cannot be overruled)
The application should include:
– a description of how the stipend would be used
– preliminary costs
– the program for the relevant activity
– the resume of the applicant.
After completing the trip, course, or similar activity, the recipient is expected to write a travel report describing how the opportunity to participate contributed to fulfilling the stipend’s purpose.
The report will be published in Qvintensen.
