Nominate candidates for FMS prize for best student paper 2023

It is time to nominate candidates for the prize of best student paper of the year. The winner, who will be presented the FMS spring meeting on 30 March, will receive 5000 SEK.

The prize will be awarded to the best thesis or journal article submitted at the bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral level. The focus of the paper should be on statistical applications or on the development of statistical methods in medicine. The paper should have been submitted to/from a Swedish university.

All FMS members are welcome to make nominations by 1 March.

Nominations will be evaluated by an independent committee consisting of members of the FMS board. The winner will be determined by the FMS board. The paper will be evaluated based on

• Relevance for medical statistics or the relevant medical field
• Originality in research question and methods
• Clarity of writing
