Lund University announces a permanent position of a Senior Lecturer in statistics.
The position includes both teaching (70%) and research and administration (30%), during the first year, the distribution will be 50% – 50%.
The applicant is expected to conduct or be prepared to conduct research in data science. Research interests in one of several areas represented within the Department are a plus. These are analysis of high-dimensional data, Bayesian methods, spatial-temporal models, non-Gaussian modeling, applied research in social science, as well as stochastic models and computational statistics.
Equal importance is given to scientific and pedagogical skills. Teaching can be at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. The supervision of undergraduate essays is also expected.
The employment involves teaching in both Swedish and English, so a plan for how language skills will be acquired needs to be established.
